Illinois artist, Virginia Gould, a member of Elmhurst Art Guild [IL], has more time to devote to her work which she picked up while living in England.
Many of her pieces are geometric shapes. “One involvement leads to another,” she said. “I do not sketch beforehand. The important thing is to have the piece be continuous, so that no matter what way you look at it, the piece is working for you.” She has no set media, no set specialty. As she put it, “Artists are constantly looking outside of themselves for what is interesting and exciting.”
She also works with soft metal and is an established painter of oils and watercolors.
